The world lost English comic actor Harry H Corbett and American comedian John Belushi. Werner Herzog's classic film 'Fitzcarraldo' was screened as was the adaption of Agatha Christie's 'Under The Sun' with an all star cast including Peter Ustinov. 'Cagney & Lacey' made it's debut on British TV screens and Kenny Everett's Video show was high in the ratings. Simon and Garfunkel released their 'Concert In Central Park' reunion recording and the Fun Boy Three released their debut album after leaving The Specials.
